Composer Arlon Ober dies at 61

Film and TV composer Arlon Ober died Dec. 20 in New Port Richey, Fla. He was 61.
Born in Cambridge, Mass., Ober composed music for TV shows including ABC's "Story Break" and "Robotech" and for films including "Eating Raoul," "The Meateater," "Bloody Birthday," "Hospital Massacre" and "The Incredible Melting Man."

During his career, he conducted the London Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the Burbank Orchestra, and worked on numerous theatrical plays.

He is survived by his wife, Bette; a son; and a daughter.
